1. Products & Use

Our bars are classified as either soap (made by saponification) or cosmetic soap (scented/coloured). Ingredients are disclosed on each product page and label. If you have allergies, patch‑test first or consult a professional. We are not liable for misuse or allergic reactions.

2. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Checkout is handled by Shopify Payments; we never see your full card details. We may change prices or run promos at any time—orders already placed aren’t affected.

3. Shipping & Risk

Title and risk pass to you when USPS scans the parcel. See “Shipping & Returns” for timing and lost‑parcel help.

4. Intellectual Property

“Black Altar,” “Sacrifice your grime,” product names, copy, and imagery are our property. Don’t reuse without written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by North‑Carolina and U.S. law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes will be handled in its state or federal courts.

7. Changes

We can update these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted here; continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.

8. Returns for unhappy customers

If you’re unhappy, email us and we’ll refund you the price. You keep the bar you’re using and ship the rest back to us. We’ll pay for the return shipping and you get to keep the bar you’re using. With orders of 2 or more, you must return the other bars if you are unhappy to receive a full refund.
